Product Description

Manila rope, often referred to as hemp rope, is a natural fiber rope that has been used for thousands of years. Contractors spec manila rope lanyards since, unlike synthetics, it doesn't melt when it comes in contact with hot wires. With a long history of use on naval vessels for its' good "hand" and ability to absorb perspiration this makes it perfect for gymnasium and climbing systems as well as exercise applications like battle ropes. Manila rope is a popular choice for tug of war as it won't snap back like nylon rope which can potentially cause injury.
